All of my pieces are completely hand painted to your specifications, meaning no two items will ever be the same. I really try and focus on making each item as unique as possible and think its super important to focus on all the little details.
On the website you'll see lots of different designs. Each one is priced differently to represent the price for the amount of flowers and detail on each layout, but the individual flower types, colour scheme and wording can be changed to anything you like.
The Details
Once you've placed your order (either by purchasing a listing from the website or contacting me direct) send me all the details you'd like me to include on your item. This includes flower types, colour scheme, wording (if required) and any extra little details I can include to make your item as personalised as possible. Links to pinterest boards or photos so I can colour match are really helpful, too.
When placing your order you'll also receive an email with all the details you'll need to send your item to me. I recommend using a signed for or special delivery service.
Mock up Design
Once I've got all your details I'll create a mock up design. This will usually be sent four weeks prior to when I complete the painting (we'll discuss this at time of ordering).
Painting
Once I've received your item and you're happy with the mock up design I'll start painting. Depending on design this can take up to a week. Usually I post work in progress or behind the scenes photos on social media during the painting process, however I do understand that sometimes it's nice to keep things secret (also a lot of people order my custom designs as gifts), so if you'd rather we keep it a surprise please let me know when ordering.
Postage and Packing
When I've finished painting I'll pack your order and get it sent back to you. The package will include a tag with care instructions for your item so you can keep it looking like new for years to come. I use Royal Mail special delivery to post all of my items and this is included in the price.
Arrival
You'll usually receive your finished piece around two weeks prior to when its needed (again, this will be discussed when you first place an order).
One of the best things about my job is getting to see all of your amazing photos proudly showing off your custom piece, so feel free to send me your photos or tag @paintedlovecustoms on your Instagram posts!
"Who provides the item?"
All of my work is "painting only" which means you'll need to provide the item you'd like me to paint. This means you'll get to try the item on before I start painting and make sure its 100% right for you.
If you're struggling to find a jacket or shoes or would like some suggestions on styles I'm more than happy to help and recommend online retailers and suppliers.
"Can you paint a Disney design?"
Unfortunately not. I know a lot of other artists and small businesses are happy to do this but for me personally I wouldn't feel right copying another artists' work. These images are covered by copyright and as much as I love anything Disney I wouldn't want to risk my business by painting something of theirs.
"How long does it take?"
The actual painting process can take anything up to a week depending on design, in terms of turnaround times this varies throughout the year. I usually get booked up extremely early for peak wedding season (May to September) so booking early is essential. If you're wanting your item for a specific date I'd always suggest contacting me prior to placing your order so I can make sure I have enough space in the diary to complete your order.
"Are they waterproof?"
Yes. I use Angelus Leather inks which are durable, crack proof and waterproof.
"I'm torn between two different layouts, which one should I choose?"
If you're unsure which design to choose or want something completely different feel free to message me and I can quote for a custom order.
"Can I pay a deposit"
A lot of people now choose to pay via deposit, that way I can get your booking secured in the diary as early as possible.
I offer an option to pay 50% of the total order value at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 6 weeks prior to our agreed completion date.
