Meet the Artist
I’m Jade, an artist based in Lincolnshire, U.K.
I started painting in 2016 after the birth of my son. Like a lot of new parents I kind of felt like I’d lost my identity and picking up the paintbrush again for the first time since secondary school was a way of getting back to “me” again.
I started painting children's first birthday milestone chalkboards and by 2017 started painting wedding signs at the weekends alongside my full time office job. In late 2017 I was asked by a customer to “have a go” at painting an old jacket she had at the back of her wardrobe. I discovered this was what I was happiest doing and once I’d posted a photo of that jacket on Instagram requests for painted clothing went absolutely mad!
Bookings increased to a point where I was able to give up my office job and call Painted Love Customs (Bespoke Chalk & Print at the time) my actual, real life full time job.
Over the last 7 years there’s definitely been a lot of ups and downs, but I can still honestly say I’m at my happiest sitting with a paintbrush in my hand (and usually a coffee in the other!), listening to 00’s emo throwbacks and creating something people can wear and love for years to come.
Behind the scenes I’m a mum to one little boy (who also loves being creative!) and a Wookie-lookalike dog, Loki (not as creative, but he’s good for a mid-paint cuddle break).

I’ve purchased from Jade twice now, and always been completely blown away by her talent and eye for detail. I first went to her in 2021 to paint my jacket for my wedding, it’s something I’m now looking to get framed and displayed post wedding (and baby meaning it doesn’t fit anymore), I received so many compliments on the day and it was just the perfect addition to my dress. I then bought two of her pet portrait Christmas decorations, and yet again was completely in awe. She captured both of my cats in such incredible detail and likeness. They completed my tree and again I received so many compliments. I fully recommend Jade if you’re looking for a personalised gift for someone or yourself, and something that is extra special and worth every penny for the effort she puts in to every item. She’s is so genuine and lovely and talented!

Jade painted my wedding Converse and i'm so in love with them! The quality of her work is outstanding and the design is exactly how i wanted it, i got so many compliments from guests.
I would say, from ordering to receiving my finished shoes did take a few months so allow plenty of time for delivery, but trust me it's worth the wait! Thank you Jade 😁
I ordered a jacket for my wedding in August and my jacket is beyond amazing! I can’t thank Jade enough, she was so helpful and lovely through the whole process also, if I had any questions she answered so quickly and the finished product is beyond what I imagined! I can’t wait to wear it on my wedding day.

I absolutely adore my jacket, the artwork and detail is just fantastic, so beautiful and Jade was a pleasure to deal with when I needed to reach out. I don't have a photo from me wearing it on the day as yet as still awaiting photos back but it was a conversation starter on the day :)

All I can say is wow! I asked Jade to design a denim gilet for my sisters wedding and it is absolutely stunning. Jade was so helpful every step of the way as it took me a while to finally decide which design to go for and what little extras I wanted. My sister loves her jacket and it was a big part of her wedding. Thank you so much Jade!
