Custom Handbag Painting

Custom Handbag and Accessory Painting Service, based in the U.K.

From lettering and monogramming, to full art pieces, each bag is completely hand painted in my U.K. studio and 100% customised be a true reflection of you and your personality. A custom piece of wearable art that can be worn proudly for years to come.

How it Works

All of my work is “painting only”. This means you’ll have to send your item to me to be painted.. I’m happy to work on new or old bags (as well as purses, wallets and small accessories). If you have an old item you never use, this is the perfect way to have it transformed into something you can be proud to wear.

Pricing

The price I charge will depend on how much of the bag you would like me to paint. For small monogram areas prices start at £50, and for large floral designs I charge depending on the actual flowers or details you would like me to include. This can range from between £190-£300. If you have a budget for the project it’s always helpful if you share this information with me so I can come up with a design to incorporate your ideas and budget.

Turnaround Times

My order books usually fill up around 6-12 months in advance, so booking early is essential. For more detailed and time consuming projects I offer the option to pay a £100 deposit to secure a date in the diary, with the remaining balance due 6 weeks prior to the agreed completion date.

The Process

  • Contact me for a quote.
  • We'll discuss design options and budget and I’ll provide a personalised quote and send an invoice via email.
  • Around 6 weeks prior to painting I’ll send you a digital mock up. This means you’ll get to see and approve the design before I start painting. This is also your last chance to request design changes before I start your project.
  • I'll paint your bag and post it back via Royal Mail Special Delivery (included in the price quoted).

”Are They Waterproof?”

I use high quality, professional leather inks to paint your bag (Angelus). These inks are completely waterproof and won’t fade or crack over time, so your new custom bag will continue to look freshly painted for years to come. I do recommend using a leather proofing and conditioning spray every few months as an extra layer of protection.

The ultimate guide on how to create wearable art

It’s here! 9 year’s worth of my knowledge, tips and materials info all in one book.

Whether you're wanting to learn how to paint a jacket for an event, or just want to get into painting and upcycling clothing, this guide will have everything you need to get started. It's all the tips, tricks, and little pep talks I wish I had when I first started learning how to paint leather jackets. And if leather isn't your thing, there are also in-depth techniques on how to paint denim jackets and suede, too.

Inside you'll find all the answers to "how do I paint a jacket" - including the best materials, best jackets to paint, how to plan your design and (probably most importantly), how to make sure your painted jacket lasts forever and stays waterproof.

Plus, the jacket painting guide includes three templates of my own designs to get you started (for when you're staring at a blank jacket thinking "what do I even want to paint?!).

If you’ve ever wanted to create your own wearable art, this is for you - even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush.
